NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE
ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE TOWN OF CONKLIN
(Pursuant to sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Assessor of the Town of Conklin, County of Broome, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year. A copy can be viewed at the Town of Conklin Town Hall or on the Assessor’s page on the Town website www.townofconklin.org, where it may be seen and examined by any interested party until May 27, 2026, at which time the Conklin Board of Assessment Review shall begin pre-scheduled hearings on complaints concerning any and all assessments.
In the event you wish to contest your assessment, you must file in the Assessor’s Office a written notice on Form RP-524, Complaint on Real Property Assessment, together with any and all supporting evidence. Said form, RP-524 together with any and all evidence for a change must be received in the Assessor’s Office by 4 p.m., May 27, 2026. A postmark does not indicate a timely receipt for this purpose. An appointment can be made with the Assessor by email at assessor@townofconklin.org to review the roll.
The Town of Conklin Board of Assessment Review is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Application forms are available in the Assessor’s Office, on the Town website, or the Assessor’s office will email the forms on request. Town of Conklin Board of Assessment Review will accept delivered complaints or grievance forms by USPS mail in person on or prior to 8 P.M. on May 27, 2026.
In addition, the Town of Conklin Board of Assessment Review will hear complaints or grievances from the public on May 27, 2026, between 4 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Any grievant wishing to appear before the Board of Assessment Review is encouraged to make an appointment prior to May 27, 2026.
