NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Conklin on January 27, 2026 at 6:05 p.m. at Conklin Town Hall, 1271 Conklin Road, Conklin, NY on an application submitted by Meier Supply Company, Inc. for a proposed warehouse expansion located at 275 Broome Corporate Parkway in the Town of Conklin.Â
NOTICE is further given that the environmental significance, if any, of the proposed application will be reviewed incident to, and as a part of, said public hearing.
The application is open to inspection at the Town Clerk’s Office, 1271 Conklin Road, Conklin. Persons wishing to appear at the hearing may do so in person or by other representation. Persons who require assistance in attending said public hearing, or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned to request such assistance. Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Board, or at such hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Conklin on January 13, 2026, at 6:03 p.m. at Conklin Town Hall, 1271 Conklin Road, Conklin, NY on an application submitted by SUNN 1006 LLC for the proposed development of a 3.5 MWAC solar photovoltaic (PV) facility consisting of rows of PV cell panels mounted on free-standing posts driven into the ground, appurtenant access roads, equipment pads, and perimeter fencing located at 50 Boyle Boulevard in the Town of Conklin.

Welcome to the
Town of ConklinÂ
The Town of Conklin lies in the southerly part of Broome County and is bounded on the north and east by the town of Kirkwood, on the south by the Pennsylvania State Line, and on the west by the Town of Binghamton. Conklin was formed on March 29, 1824 from the Town of Chenango. Conklin is the largest village in the town and is not incorporated.
The Town of Conklin covers approximately 15,077 acres and as of 2010 has a population of 5,441.

History
The Town of Conklin is in the southern part of Broome County. It is bounded on the north and east sides by the Town of Kirkwood, on the south by the Pennsylvania State Line, and on the west by the Town of Binghamton. Conklin was formed on March 29, 1824, from the Town of Chenango. Although unincorporated it is the towns largest village.
The town is known for the George F. Johnson community center on Conklin Road, which looks like a castle. Alpheus Corby, a Conklin resident, built “The Castle” in about 1900 after visiting his mother’s homeland of England. Corby admired the country’s architectural style.
After Corby died his home was sold to a few private homeowners. Years later George F. Johnson made “The Castle” a home for under privileged children.
In the 1940’s Johnson donated “The Castle” to the Town of Conklin to be used as a community center. The building was used as an office building for Town officials until a new Town hall was built in 2002, and it is used now strictly for community groups to meet and is being turned into a museum by the Town’s Historical Society.
The Susquehanna Valley School District serves the communities children.
